1963 Gibson SJN Country Western
This scarce bird is the natural version of Gibson's Southern Jumbo, renamed in 1962 the SJN Country Western with the circlular rope label inside the soundhole. I've always felt that Gibson's inlaid parallelogram fingerboard inlays were the epitome of embellishments for acoustic guitars. This one is in excellent condition structurally and with a nice clear finish. Restored rosewood bridge but otherwise, all there with a tremendous voice as a result of the inset saddle. A real belter. Perfectly balanced response with a fat, dry attack and classic mahogany dread sustain. These don't appear very often and never did, so it's an opportunity to buy a classic.
