A lovely example of the 1948 Martin 000-18. All original and with exactly the amount of playwear that one would expect from a 40's Martin that has seen action. There are 2 cracks to the bottom bout, all stable and inoffensive. Otherwise, it's clean and has a magical voice that is fat and woody with large harmonics and a dry sense of humour. Tonally it has a strong bottom end that in no way overwhelmns the rest but it's truly warm and woody. Lovely mahogany rims and back with a Sitka Spruce top, brazilian board and bridge and mahogany neck. It verges on a D-18 for fullness of harnomics and power, which isn't common in such a small guitar. Plays beautifully and needs nothing. Â
