1960 CF Martin D 21
I've always loved this series.....the hybrid Martin, living between the D-28 and the D-18. Brazilian rosewood rims and back with a Sitka Spruce top, mahogany neck and the all important rosewood board and bridge which is the defining factor : the warm, woody yet very powerful voice of the 21 series. It's a D-18 on steroids or a very very woody and warm D-28. This example is all original and in lovely condition. Some finish craqueleur but that's about it. Sound-wise, it's as described above.....warm and woody but very powerful and clear with all the descriptive words that can be used to describe these early Martins.
