CITES Article 10 Certificate # 553239/06

Rarely do these turn up but when they do, you have a real chance of getting an above-average instrument.  This wonderful '67 D-35 of  rosewood was assembled on April 19th, 1967 by Paul Berger, an employee at that time validated by Dick Boak.  A genuine employee's guitar will have the assembly date and makers name written up under the top on the popsicle brace, usually be the man who braced it.  This tradition of giving employees one guitar a year for self or family ended sometime late in the 60's as it proved to be too expensive and inefficient.  They were allowed to use any materials available and to use the talents of any of the special workers for custom work such as inlays.

This example has exceptional AAA brazilian rosewood rims and back with a nicely grained solid sitka spruce top.  It has an incredibly even and balanced voice with great playability and a super look.  Great clarity and separtaion in the voice with big but balanced bottom end.......toffee coloured bindings and rich patination to the top and body.  Just a really wonderful and great sounding Martin in excellent condition.
