1946 C.F. Martoin 00-18
The first '46 00-18 that I've ever owned.......and it's factory fresh. What an amazing instrument from every perspective. All original including tuners and with a lovely, chunky mahogany neck that is ultimately playable but tells you you are in the 40's. Long taper bracing that gives this guitar the voice control you might not find in scalloped bracing while providing the ability to produce all of the harmonice one could dream of. Solid mahogany rims and back with a Sitka spruce top and rosewood board and bridge. Many players who have experienced these early Martin Orchestra series guitars love the size and sound of the 00, as it's really great in the lap or around the neck and is clean and crisp while being warm and woody in the sound it produces......just a great guitar all around and a rare thing.
